NatCen Center for Children and Families is ready for launch

June 16, 2022

In the UK, the National Center for Social Research (NatCen) announces that it will officially launch its Center for Children and Families – first announced over a year ago – on Monday 27 June.

The new center builds on NatCen’s research track record with parents and children, from early childhood through school and post-16 education. Led by Director Tina Haux and Deputy Director Gayle Munro, the center brings specialist knowledge and expertise in areas such as child welfare, family justice, early intervention and juvenile delinquency, putting the focus on engagement and impact.

In addition, it offers expertise in research methods in areas such as qualitative, territorial and participatory approaches, survey design and data analysis. Haux (pictured) comments: “We are delighted to officially launch our Center for Children and Families and to further strengthen NatCen’s expertise in this area. Our team has a long history in the field, and the new center is well placed to make a significant contribution to policy development and public understanding of key contemporary issues for children and families.”
